To gain VCP certification one must complete the training course at an approved centre and take and pass the Vsphere 4: install, configure and manage exam at a recognised Pearson Vue Testing centre.
VMware Vsphere 4: Install, configure and manage
This hands-on training course explores installation, configuration, and management of VMware® vSphere, which consists of VMware ESXi/ESX™, and VMware vCentre Server. Upon completion of this course, you can take the examination to become a VMware Certified Professional. The course is based on ESXi 4.0, ESX 4.0, and vCentre Server 4.0.
5 consecutive days for Instructor training as part of the VMware IT Academy programme from approved educational centres
5 Days, taken as day release or 10 evening class sessions spread over a number of weeks for community clients / students or as part of a recognised UK examination course framework
